Description
Nestled in between two volcanoes, the Celeste Mountain Lodge consists of 17 acres of prime mountain land that is currently being used commercially as a successful mountain lodge, but which can easily be converted into a grand private estate or residence.
Ten of these 17 acres are kept in private rainforest reserve with well-maintained hiking trails for guests to explore.
There are also five acres of perfectly manicured gardens that attract humming birds, butterflies, and all sorts of tropical birds native to Costa Rica.
Guests entering the Celeste Mountain Lodge are greeted at the main lobby, which features an open concept with vaulted wood ceilings, an impressive arboretum, and intimate lounge spaces that allow you to rest within the plant life.
The dining room serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. In fact, the Celeste Mountain Lodge is well known for its superior French-inspired dishes and is among the best of fine dining options in the area.
There is also an observation lounge were guests can enjoy drinks while bird watching; absorbing the stunning views of both the Miravalles Volcano and the Tenorio Volcano; and witnessing the awe-inspiring sunsets each evening.
The lodge itself consists of 18 rooms, each with private baths and lovely nature and mountain views, and there is a quaint lagoon- for guests to enjoy.
There are also two independent homes that lie on the property, ideal for being owner occupied or serving as housing for management.
Most impressively, this property is surrounded on three sides by dense jungle that is forever preserved, ensuring that guests will enjoy this raw and untouched nature for years to come.
Celeste Mountain Lodge sits at an altitude of 2,500 feet, which essentially provides spring like weather all year round. The lodge is located in the biological corridor of Tenorio-Miravalles, making it an exceptionally rare micro-climate that is classified as transitional rain-to-cloud forest, making it a unique bio-diverse environment. The variety of animals one can see here is exceptional, and includes sloths, toucans, a variety of monkeys and birds, and even the magnificent tapir (or danta as it is lovingly referred to here in Costa Rica.)
Not surprisingly, the Celeste Mountain Lodge has been named as the Traveler’s Choice Award for “Top 25 Hotels in Costa Rica” for over five years, and even ranked among the “Top 25 Trendiest Hotels in Central America.”
Just 4 kilometers below the lodge is the mountain town of Bijagua, with a collection of stores, fruit stands, and charming restaurants.
Celeste Mountain Lodge is only 75 miles from the Liberia International Airport and is easily accessible on paved and well-maintained roads.
