La Perla’s was founded in 1976 by Canadian native Pearl who was making breakfast from her
house in Surfside Estates for the local fishermen each morning. After much encouragement
from her friends & fans, she decided to open La Perla’s to the entire community. It has seen
many incarnations over the years but has always been a neighborhood staple where everyone
gathers to eat, drink and catch up.
Perla’s sits on the same main corner (four lots) since its inception and has added two additional
